In statistical terms, the proportion of older people in the global population will continue to grow over coming decades. It is important to keep an eye on the needs of these people as they are an important target group for many preparations in the pharma industry. When asked about their ideal packaging, the so-called ‘golden agers’ above all state mechanical packaging opening properties in addition to features such as good legibility, an easily identified ‘best before’ date, a colour choice in keeping with older people and an avoidance of shiny materials.

Blister Pack
The particularly large, specially grooved tab makes it easier for people with motor impairments to open the packaging. The special closure construction causes the tab to protrude slightly, facilitating accessibility and the opening process.
Opening the tab triggers an optimal product presentation mechanism – the product is securely fixed in a kind of bag that moves slightly toward the user as the folding carton is opened. This provides ample space for quick and easy removal of the product. Locking functions when resealing the package give consumers the feeling that they are safely storing their products.
