Bellwyck Packaging Inc. with headquarters in the CanadianToronto has expanded its Bellwyck PharmaServices to the American company PCI PharmaServices, including its 50-percent stake inof Bellwyck Faller Pharmaceutical Services GmbH, which is locatedin Großbeeren (Brandenburg). Faller Packaging,owner of the other 50 percent of the joint venture,sold its stake in the supplier ofContract Packaging Services as well as packaging andlogistics services for clinical studies also tothe PCI Pharma Services.

In 2019, the consultants of Munich Strategy Group, together with the Amsterdam digital consultancy Bloom, identified the "Digital Pioneers of the SMEs 2019" on behalf of WirtschaftsWoche. Faller Packaging stands its ground, ranking 35th among the digital companies New Work (XING), Scout 24 and Outfittery.

Faller Packaging acquired the Hungarian company Pharma Print Kft. on 28 November 2019.

Pharma Print, based in Debrecen, has for many years manufactured package inserts for the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets. Through this acquisition, Faller Packaging has expanded its strong network of production locations in Europe.

Together with our customers, we are experiencing much change in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry: Time-to-market is decreasing, batch sizes are becoming smaller, and thus the costs for production, packaging and transport are increasing. Besides, there are new legal regulations for counterfeit protection and serialization.

Starting immediately, August Faller is also offering its customers pharmaceutical packaging with Russian crypto codes.

Those are mandatory for suppliers of pharmaceutical products on the Russian market from 1 January 2020. The purpose is to ensure better traceability and reliable protection against counterfeiting.

From 5 to 7 November 2019, August Faller will be presenting its extensive expertise in the field of packaging at CPhI Worldwide in Frankfurt am Main, the world's largest trade fair for the pharmaceutical industry, with a new orientation and brand strategy.
