Trainees and students at work: Successful renovation campaign at the Emmendingen animal shelter

On 25 and 26 July, 21 trainees and students from the Waldkirch site completed a remarkable renovation project at the animal shelter in Emmendingen. As part of their social commitment, they used their skills and energy to beautify the animal shelter and provide the animals with a better environment.

During the two-day campaign, the quarantine boxes for sick cats were repaired and painted. The dog kennels and dog boxes outside also received a much-needed new coat of paint. Despite the limited budget for paint and painting equipment, our colleagues overcame the challenges with flying colours.

"Everyone can show their strengths here," says Victoria Ziebold, Head of Apprenticeship at Faller Packaging. This is exactly what the action days are all about. Those who enjoy working with their hands paint the walls. Those who like planning, on the other hand, take care of the organisation. The campaign was not only a great success for the animal shelter, but also a valuable experience for the committed young people.

With their commitment, the Faller Packaging trainees and students showed how important social engagement and regional support are. The animal shelter in Emmendingen now shines in new splendour and the animals enjoy their freshly renovated accommodation.
