The wrong administration of medicines can have unpleasant consequences for the patient. This is especially relevant for self-application medicines, which the patient administers independently at home. 

With the Temperature Indication Label from Faller Packaging, you not only increase the ease of use, but also increase safety.
The intelligent label design fulfils several functions and becomes a design element for correct injection.

Our printed sensor technology is suitable for medicines that need to be kept under refrigeration and warmed up to room temperature before injection/administration. Upon customer request, the temperature range can be adapted to your individual needs.

An example of application: 

If insulin is still too cool, it is often painful to use. In addition, the effectiveness of the medication could be delayed by the wrong viscosity.

To support the user, we have equipped our example label with a sensor that turns blue and displays a snowflake when the medicine is stored below eight degrees Celsius and issues the message "OK" as soon as the medicine warms up above 18 degrees Celsius.

Functionality

The printed sensor turns blue when it is stored below 8°C. As soon as the ambient temperature warms up above 18°C, the colour of the sensor changes - so it is possible to give a message to the patient/user. In our example label, an "OK" is displayed so that the patient/user knows when the medication is ready for pain-free use.

Printed sensor technology

The sensor is reversible and can move back and forth between the colour displays several times. As soon as the patient/user puts the medicine back in the refrigerator, the sensor will display the desired symbol for that temperature range again.

Our smart, printable sensor solution replaces expensive technologies that are often bulky, rigid and stick out from the packaging. The sensor also facilitates self-medication and ensures reliable application.

Flexible design

No restrictions in size, shape, colour, temperature range, branding, text and more! The sensor can be printed on all common self-adhesive materials.
