Production in Gebesee to start in April
Things are moving fast in Gebesee, Thuringia. To expand its production capacity, Faller Packaging took over the former All4Labels site there last year. From April on, the highly motivated Faller team will produce folding cartons and package leaflets for customers throughout Europe at the new site.
As the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors continue to grow, so too does the interest in sustainable packaging solutions. In line with its growth strategy and to react flexibly to the growing demand, Faller Packaging took the decision to increase its production capacity for folding cartons and leaflets at the Gebesee site in Thuringia. In the future, the company plans to produce up to 650 million additional folding cartons and 160 million outserts on the site.
The packaging specialist acquired the former All4Labels plant in Gebesee in the autumn of 2024 and has spent the last few months adapting it to its requirements. The new site will soon be up and running as planned. The production lines have been installed, the final preparations are in full swing and full production will start in April.
Thanks to the new plant’s central location in Europe and its proximity to many pharmaceutical companies, customers will benefit not only from shorter delivery times, but also from increased delivery reliability. The higher production volume will enable Faller Packaging to respond quickly to orders placed at short notice and to meet peaks in demand.
A motivated and well-trained team
The systems supplier of folding cartons, leaflets, labels and combination products has re-equipped the acquired property to deliver the high-quality products for which it is renowned. Faller Packaging has also spent the last few months training its new employees, many of whom previously worked for All4Labels. They received intensive training at various Faller sites, learning to comply with the company’s high pharmaceutical standards and qualifying to operate the special machines.
“By investing in the new site, we're strengthening cooperation with our customers and creating a future for the region at the same time,” says Dagmar Schmidt, CEO of the Faller Packaging Group.
