Faller Packaging receives the European Carton Excellence Award 2022
Faller Packaging has been awarded the European Carton Excellence Award (ECEA) 2022. The manufacturer of folding cartons, package leaflets, labels and combination products for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries received the award for its PleioFlow RF packaging solution. The ECEA is Europe’s most prestigious award for carton packaging.
Faller received the award in the “General Packaging, Virgin Fibre” category. The jury praised the PleioFlow RF device packaging, designed to transport and safely store surgical equipment. It complies with the complex regulations for medical devices. PleioFlow RF meets the strict standards for packaging and microbiological barrier systems used in operating theatres.
Each part of the packaging plays a significant role in adherence to these standards: The outer carton secures the contents properly during transport. The carrying device keeps the unit in a stable position and free from damage, ensuring safety and functionality. Surgeons can quickly and conveniently remove the contents from the package without compromising the product’s sterility. The unique design allows medical professionals to quickly open PleioFlow during surgery when it has to be ready for use.

We have shown that we work in a customer-oriented way with our solutions and create innovative, unique designs,” he added.
Every year, the European Carton Excellence Award recognises and promotes a wide range of skills and innovative solutions in the paperboard industry. The gala was organised by the European Carton Makers Association (ECMA), an international network for paperboard processors, national associations and suppliers to the paperboard industry.
