Faller Packaging presents sustainable packaging solutions at Customer Academy Nordic in Copenhagen
Scandinavia is an important growth market for Faller Packaging. Last year its branch in Hvidovre, Denmark, posted strong increases in sales. For this reason, the manufacturer of secondary pharmaceutical packaging took the opportunity to present its products to the Scandinavian pharmaceutical and healthcare industries at Customer Academy Nordic on 8 and 9 June in Copenhagen.
“This is a marketplace for sharing information, discussing the latest trends and working with businesses to find innovative solutions,” said Christian Holmskov, Managing Director of Faller Packaging A/S Denmark, after the event. “Our experts made an important contribution with our flexible and sustainable packaging concepts for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.”
In Denmark Faller, a manufacturer of secondary packaging, has been making folding cartons and applying special finishing techniques since 2012. Here, as at all of its sites, it uses paper and cardboard from responsibly managed forests. In response to the growing trend towards sustainable products, the company is developing simpler packaging made from monomaterials and ensuring that its folding cartons, labels and package leaflets are recyclable.
In order to highlight the topic of sustainability in pharmaceutical packaging at the event, Fred Mausner Christensen of Faller Packaging’s facility in Denmark gave a presentation called “Sustainable Pharma Packaging”, which attracted considerable interest.
The Customer Academy Nordic is a joint event held by the Austrian packaging manufacturer Constantia Flexibles and the Swiss company Perlen Packaging AG, which specialises in film manufacturing and coating. The organisers of this two-day event got together with participating companies to talk about trends and innovations in pharmaceutical packaging.
